Louisville, Kentucky - John Thomas Hubbard passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on April 4, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Born in Texarkana, Arkansas on October 12, 1949, John made his home in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he was involved in building deep roots in the community he loved. He recently relocated to Louisville to be closer to family.

John spent his entire career with AEP SWEPCO, working his way up from meter reader to senior management. Beyond his professional life, John believed deeply in giving back by serving his community. He was a dedicated member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church and an active participant in the Shreveport and Bossier Chambers of Commerce and numerous other civic organizations.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Pitts Hubbard; his daughter Rebecca Hubbard Jones and her husband Steven; his son John Hubbard II and his partner Tim Corder; his granddaughters Lauren and Sydney Jones; and his sister Joan Beckham and husband Jerry.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Broadmoor United Methodist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
